FAQ

What is the difference between trip class 10A and trip class 20?

Trip class 10A means the relay will trip within 10 seconds at 7.2 times the set current, suitable for standard motor applications. Trip class 20 allows for a longer start time (up to 20 seconds), which is necessary for motors with heavy starting loads like high-inertia fans or pumps.

Can this LRD05 relay be mounted separately, or only directly on a contactor?

The LRD05 is designed for direct mounting on TeSys D contactors (e.g., LC1D09). However, it can also be mounted separately on a DIN rail using a specific terminal block adapter, such as the Schneider Electric LA7D0364.

What do the 'manual' and 'auto' reset options do?

The blue 'RESET' button allows selection between two modes. In 'Manual' mode, an operator must physically press the button to reset the relay after a trip. In 'Auto' mode, the relay resets automatically once the internal components have cooled down, which is useful for inaccessible installations.
