Uni-Telway is a legacy master/slave fieldbus protocol developed by Telemecanique (now Schneider Electric). It was commonly used with Modicon TSX Premium, TSX Micro, and early Quantum PLC series for communication between PLCs, HMIs, and drives.

The TSXSCA62 is a completely passive tap-off. It does not require any external power supply. It simply provides a physical connection point to the Uni-Telway bus wiring.

A Uni-Telway network requires a specific shielded twisted-pair cable (like Schneider part number TSXCSA100/200/500). Line terminators (TSX TLYEX) are necessary at both physical ends of the main bus trunk to prevent signal reflections.
