FPM (Viton) has a much higher temperature resistance (up to 200 deg C) and better chemical resistance to oils, fuels, and acids compared to NBR (Nitrile), which is typically rated up to 100-120 deg C. FPM is the preferred choice for more demanding applications.

The standard 'AS' profile is designed for low-pressure applications, typically up to 0.5 bar. For higher pressures, a different profile (like a high-pressure seal with a reinforced lip) would be required.
