A non-flush mountable sensor, like the IGT205, has an extended sensing face that must protrude from the mounting surface. This design creates a larger magnetic field, resulting in a significantly longer sensing range compared to a flush-mountable sensor of the same size. However, it requires a metal-free zone around the sensing head.

PNP means the sensor is a "sourcing" type, providing a positive voltage output when an object is detected. NO stands for "Normally Open," which means the switch is open (no voltage output) when no object is present and closes (outputs a positive voltage) upon detection. You would typically connect the load between the output wire and ground (0V).
