FAQ

A standard pulley has a fixed bore with a keyway. A pulley for a taper lock bush has a tapered bore, allowing the use of interchangeable bushes to fit various shaft diameters. This provides a more secure, concentric fit and simplifies installation and removal.

First, ensure the shaft, bush bore, and pulley bore are clean. Slide the bush into the pulley hub, aligning the non-threaded holes. Lightly oil the threads of the grub screws and insert them. Slide the assembly onto the shaft, position it, and then tighten the grub screws alternately and evenly until the specified torque is reached, ensuring the pulley runs true.

While SPC and SPB belts have the same top width, their depth is different (SPC is deeper). Using an SPC belt in an SPB groove is not recommended as it will not seat correctly, leading to reduced power transmission efficiency, excessive wear, and potential belt slippage or damage. Always match the belt profile to the pulley groove profile.
