A Type J thermocouple is made from iron and constantan. It's a common, general-purpose thermocouple known for its reliability and cost-effectiveness in a range of up to about 760 degC. It is frequently used in plastics manufacturing, heat treating, and industrial furnaces.

The IP66 rating ensures complete protection against dust ingress and powerful water jets from any direction. The IP67 rating guarantees that the head can be temporarily submerged in water (up to 1 meter for 30 minutes) without damage. This dual rating makes it highly suitable for outdoor installations or areas subject to washdowns.

The 750mm immersion length of the probe itself is fixed. However, the installation depth can be adjusted using a suitable compression fitting on the process connection, allowing you to position the sensor tip at the desired point within your process line or vessel.
