FAQ

Electromagnetic flowmeters are designed to measure the flow of electrically conductive liquids. This includes water, acids, alkalis, and slurries. They cannot be used for non-conductive fluids like oils, hydrocarbons, or deionized water.

These materials define the wetted parts of the sensor. PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) is the liner, known for its excellent chemical resistance and non-stick properties. Hastelloy C-4 is the material for the electrodes, an alloy highly resistant to a wide range of corrosive chemicals, making the meter suitable for aggressive media.

The COPA-XE series is an older model. While some versions had optional outputs, standard models typically provided a 4-20mA analog signal and/or pulse output. Advanced digital communication protocols like HART or Profibus were not standard features on this base model. Always verify the exact output configuration needed for your application.
